For Musky
and Pike, leaders are one of the most important links in your tackle
configuration. There is no substitute for being able to make your own
leaders whether on shore or on the water.
I put
together this leader making kit that has everything you need to be able
to make your own stainless steel leaders.
The
kit contains the same materials and tools that I have used for years.
The kit
contains a 30 foot roll of .029 gauge (174 pound test) stainless steel
wire, stainless steel wire shaping pliers for making leader loops, the
DuBro wire twist tool, 5 Duo-Lock snaps and two Sampo ball bearing
swivels.
Wire cutters are not included in the kit, recognizing that you
probably already have wire cutters in your boat tool kit.
In
addition, I have included multi-page illustrated instructions that take
you step-by-step through the leader making process.
With this
kit, you will never be without a leader or forced to accept a leader
that is something less than what you want.
