The Best American Crawler is designed to look like an animal
swimming in the water that is in distress.
The
lure is 5½ inches long and weighs 2 ounces. The lures is made of
select Bass wood.
Each
lure has an undercoat of Kilz and two coats of enamel paint. In
addition, an Epoxy over coating is added to further seal the lure.
The Crawler is effective in clam to light chop conditions.
The lure will provide swimming action when retrieved slow but the
best action is achieved using a moderate to quick retrieve.
The wings are stainless steel with enough thickness to retain the
tuning configuration during normal use.
The adjustment tab is just a bit longer than other wings which
prevents the wing from folding back against the body during a battle
or when ripped through weeds.
In addition, the package insert contains wing tuning instructions
should you need to re-tune the Crawler.
Each lure is water tested and tuned for consistent action.
Each lure comes with 3/0 Owner Stinger hooks which require
NO Sharpening.
The Crawler also uses a rear prop that gives the lure some
additional flash as it is retrieved.
The
front and back screw eyes are 2½ inches long and use Epoxy to secure
them in the lure body. The
body screw eye is 1½ inches in length and uses a modified hook
hanger to prevent it from backing out.
