The Best
American Topper is 100% made in America.
This
top quality lure is made from select Bass wood. Screw eyes that are 2 inches in length are used
front and back for a solid bite in the Bass wood. It has an undercoat
of Kilz primer to seal the wood. Each lure gets 3 coats of high gloss
enamel. An epoxy clear coat finishes the lure and helps to protect
it from the rigors of fishing. Each lure is water tested to ensure
consistent performance.

The
body hook is installed using a 1 inch screw eye. A modified hook hanger
keeps the body hook screw eye from backing out in the heat of the fishing
battle. The 1.5 ounce weight and 5
inch overall length give this lure excellent casting characteristics with
light or medium weight rods and almost any type of line.
| The
Best American Topper also comes equipped with two Owner 3/0 Stinger treble
hooks. These hooks are super sharp and require
NO sharpening. Also, the barbs are smaller and are closer to the
points of the trebles to allow for more effective hook sets for fish
that hit the lure timidly.
In addition, the Best American Topper
has been enhanced for the 2008 Musky season with the old style copper propellers that provide the wake and
sound in the water that more closely emulates a small animal swimming on
the surface. The propeller comes with bearings installed to provide
smooth and consistent rotation. |
